This book is the story of Lily and Atlas as they navigate a relationship together while still dealing with their lives separate from each other. Lily has an angry ex-husband to deal with, and Atlas discovers he has a family member he had no previous knowledge of and has to stand up to the horrors of his childhood. The main character of this story, Lily Bloom, is a young woman who grew up in an abusive household. She moved to Boston to get out of her hometown and better herself and her life. She opened her dream business, had great friends, and met a man she fell in love with. The book follows the life she shares with that man, as well as her past with her first love. I discovered this book from Booktok and I’m glad I read it. I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding Colleen Hoover and her books, but I don’t see a problem with CoHo. This is the first book of hers I have read. Apparently some people have issues with the writing style she uses but I thought it was an easy read but that didn’t make it bad.
